My name is Megan Liao and I am currently a grade 10 student at Lord Byng Secondary. I developed an interest and passion for art at a very young age and so I began my first drawing lesson's at age six. Taking drawing lessons with a professional has really improved my skills and has opened my eyes to observe artistic aspects in everyday life that I would have never thought were there. Practicing and improving over those years has given me an advantage in my art classes at school and I hold deep thanks to my drawing teacher who has helped me along.
Three years ago, my drawing teacher recommended that I apply to Lord Byng Secondary and enter their Mini Arts program, Byng Arts ; it has become a choice a will never regret. Drawing alone may often become lonely or unexciting, but in my new environment in the Byng Arts program, I now have peers with the same interests who all strive to excel and interact in an artistic community. Though I consider going to a design school in the future, I know my path may lead elsewhere, but I will never forget my experiences in visual arts. To see my Art Works, please click Here.
